Bica
This apartment, located on the third floor in the vibrant Bica District, offers a glimpse into different eras of city living. Despite its small size, it features five large windows with views of the Tagus River, welcoming plenty of sunlight. Originally, the 35 sqm space was divided in a disorganized manner.
Our approach involved removing a wall to create a more open layout, adapting the space for modern living. This emphasizes the importance of the windows, connecting the interior with the lively atmosphere of this Lisbon neighborhood.
The carpentry, painted in white, mirrors the original dimensions and function while maintaining simplicity over ornamental details.
The reorganization of the space and design elements contrasts with the intentionally diverse covering meterials. These materials, with dinstinct identities, come together to create a lively composition for this small home.
